VPO Piping Pro for SketchUp

What is VPO Piping Pro?

VBO Piping Pro is a Trimble SketchUp plugin that constructs pipes from edges in specified groups/components, as well as fittings on vertices.

When you purchase the plugin, you will receive the installer in a compressed (.zip) format in your first email. Within 12 hours, an email with the licence keys will be delivered. You can use your licence on two different computers (or two different versions of SketchUp) at the same time. If you want to add a third computer, use the menu “Extensions/VBO/VBO Piping Pro xxx/Deactivate licence on this machine” to deactivate VBO Piping Pro on another computer.

You’ll be notified by email if the plugin is updated.

How to use:

“Build Pipes Branch”: All inside edges of selected groups/components will be turned into pipes, with options (collection, size, kind of terminating fitting, and continuing fitting…) available in an input box.

-“Branches modifier”: A tool that aids in fitting editing. Rotate, manually replace fittings, add/replace reduce bush, redraw branches, copy/paste fittings, and substitute custom SKP Components are all options available to the user…. You can also give any branch a name and colour.

• “2D/3D”: A quick switching of displaying the branches in 2D/3D view, base on turn on/off the layers “8_mep_piping2D” and “8_mep_piping3D”.
• Editing the source edges and vertices is possible by double clicking (Edit Group/Component) on a branch. When the user finishes updating the

Group/Component, the branch will be updated to its “settings.” – Metal, PVC (Class 8.5 & 13.5), HDPE, PPR, Weld, and Electrical pipe collections are included. – A BOM (Bill Of Materials) of pipes and fittings can be created.

Recommended system and software:

• Windows OS 10 or newer (Some Mac user can use but I didn’t test it)
• SketchUp 2019 or newer ( Working with the SketchUp 2018 is a little bit slower and network problems, The best is Sketchup 2020.1 and newer)
